HEALTHY COMMUNITIES FORUMS
Started in 2011, each Healthy Communities Forum targets decision makers, community leaders, labor, developers, affordable housing advocates, business leaders, and environmentalists to come together and explore how the various facets of the health of our cities - economic, environmental, and social - intersect and most often relate with land use decisions. At each Forum, visionary speakers share their knowledge related to a specific aspect of a healthy community, followed by participants breaking out into groups and engaging in dialogue to connect the vision of a healthy community to their own community and discuss ideas for making their communities "healthier."

Sadhu Aufochs Johnston, the Deputy City Manager for the City of Vancouver, Canada and co-author of The Guide to Greening Cities (Island Press), will discuss Vancouver and other cities efforts to change how they build and operate their cities to make them greener and healthier places to live.
