Senior Health - Living Long and Prospering
January 31, 2013 - FLYER
Organized by Sustainable San Mateo County
Millbrae Community Center, Room E/F

The health of San Mateo County depends on the health of its seniors. The senior population now makes up 13% of San Mateo County and is projected to increase to 18% by 2030. How can we make our communities more resilient for this ever-changing population? How can we make quality health care, housing, transportation, food, and recreation more accessible for the aging?
Tanja Srebotnjak of Ecologic Institute presented findings from a new report in collaboration with Sustainable San Mateo County: “Senior Health in San Mateo County: An Assessment of Current Status and an Outlook into Future Needs.” Afterward, we broke into groups to discuss the most significant factors affecting senior health in our communities.
