Health Communities Forum #9: Great Streets
October 4, 2012 - Flyer
Bascom Community Center and Library Multipurpose Room
1000 S. Bascom Avenue, San Jose
At this Forum, we learned more about the world’s best streets, and the physical, designable characteristics that make them great from Allan Jacobs, Professor Emeritus of City & Regional Planning and Urban Design at UC Berkeley and Elizabeth MacDonald, Associate Professor of Urban Design at UC Berkeley.
This was timely as San Jose is embarking on urban village planning and focusing on streets like West San Carlos, South Bascom and The Alameda. When a street is designed well, the neighborhood thrives. Come learn and share your ideas about how San Jose can become a city with great streets for all!
